Operations Supervisor / Site Manager - Christchurch

  • We have been operating for 28 years and are the largest and leading 3PL specialists for Hazardous substance storage in New Zealand.

POSITION INFO

As a result of our expanding business, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Supervisor for a newly created position to manage our specialised hazardous storage complex located in Hornby, Christchurch. You will need to be a self-starter with initiative as this position is at a senior level.

The role will be varied and you will need a strong current understanding of warehousing and transport functions with knowledge of Hazardous Substances and Dangerous Goods. You will need to have strong communication and negotiating skills and be a positive, proactive person who can lead a team.

Reporting to the GM and the Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for supervision of an upper tier MHF storage facility and the staff that carry out the day to day inwards and outwards operations including the metro and linehaul transport function. Five staff will directly report to the role and you will oversee ten other staff that report to your warehouse supervisors.

Position: Class 5 Driver

POSITION INFO

We are currently seeking an experienced class 5 driver to join our busy Auckland team.

As a Driver you will be required to action driving duties to support the Operations Supervisor in achieving Chemfreight's customer service goals of timely and accurate movement of goods within the Auckland area. There is a focus on team work to provide efficient and accurate service to a wide range of customers including a number of multi –national companies.

Hours are Monday to Friday 40-50 hours per week with occasional Saturdays when required.

As a warehouse store person there is a focus on team work to provide efficient and accurate service to a wide range of customers including a number of multi –national companies.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays if required.

Your role will involve all facets of the warehouse including inwards goods, put away, picking and packing, stocktakes and completing documentation to a high standard.
