Position: Facilities Coordinator

POSITION INFO

The Role

You will be responsible for managing and monitoring the maintenance and compliance requirements of Chemfreight's assets (which includes buildings and equipment). This will require you to build strong working relationships with the contractors who provide these services to Chemfreight. You will report directly to the HSEQ Manager who will work with you to make sure our assets are meeting quality standards, health and safety regulations and any local authority requirements.

This position will be the first port of call for all maintenance coordination, so you will be expected to use your initiative, be self-motivated and very well organised. As well as administrative tasks there will periodic reporting on work schedules and contractor performance. Being a part of the HSEQ function you will also actively promote initiatives to support safety at an operational level.

The Criteria

To be successful, you will have excellent organisational ability, with strong interpersonal skills and command of the English language both spoken and written. You will need to be a self-starter, be able to prioritise your workload and be proactive. While you are proud of your meticulous accuracy, strong administrative ability and IT skills you will also be a problem solver and able to think outside of the square.

You will also have:

  • Previous experience in project management or facilities/maintenance management
  • Excellent negotiation and people skills
  • Technical qualifications desired but not essential
  • Strong Microsoft Excel ability
  • Full drivers licence
  • Forklift or EWP licence desired but not essential
  • Ability to travel to Christchurch on occasion

POSITION INFO

The Role

This is a rare opportunity to join our close-knit HSEQ team and help grow your career as an HSEQ professional. You will report directly to the HSEQ Manager and work closely with our other HSEQ team members, who will support and mentor you.

This position will be the first port of call for HSEQ administrative requirements, so you will be expected to use your initiative, be self-motivated and take ownership of your duties.

You will also be involved in a wide range of general HSEQ activities and have the opportunity to develop specialist hazardous substance management skills. You will support the HSEQ function through effective administration of our management system which will require strong IT and organisational ability.

The Criteria

To be successful, you will have an investigative mind, with strong interpersonal skills and command of the English language both spoken and written. You will need to be a self-starter, be able to prioritise your workload, have a thirst for knowledge and enjoy continuously learning and improving your HSE skills.

While you are proud of your meticulous accuracy, strong administrative ability, IT skills including previous management system experience (ISO level preferably), you understand that to be a truly impactful HSEQ professional it is all about building trusted relationships with clients and delivering impeccable HSEQ service.

Position: Warehouse Store Person

  • We are currently seeking a warehouse store person to join our busy team.

POSITION INFO

As a warehouse store person there is a focus on team work to provide efficient and accurate service to a wide range of customers including a number of multi –national companies.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays if required.

Your role will involve all facets of the warehouse including inwards goods, put away, picking and packing, stocktakes and completing documentation to a high standard.

Ideal Candidate Skills

  • Experience in warehousing
  • Full drivers licence – (preferably with F endorsement)
  • Current Reach truck and counter balance licence with experience up to 7m
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • MPI Accreditation preferred but not essential
  • Dangerous Goods experience preferred but not essential
